Good laminate installation starts with good prep. We use the right tools and methods so your floor stays flat, strong, and quiet.

1) Measure and Choose the Right Laminate

We measure your space and help you choose laminate based on:

• Room traffic level
• Pets and kids
• Style preference (wood-look, tile-look)
• Budget and durability needs

2) Remove Old Flooring (If Needed)

We can remove old carpet, vinyl, or damaged flooring and prep the area for installation.

3) Subfloor Inspection and Leveling

Laminate needs a flat base. We check the subfloor for:

• Low spots
• High edges
• Squeaks
• Moisture concerns

We fix uneven areas because bumps and dips can cause laminate to separate or feel hollow.

4) Install Underlayment and Moisture Barrier

Most laminate floors need underlayment for comfort and sound control. In some areas, we may use a moisture barrier too.

5) Install Laminate Planks (Click-Lock System)

Many laminate floors use a click-lock system. We install planks with the right spacing so the floor can expand and shrink naturally.

We use pro tools like:

• Tapping block and pull bar (tight seams)
• Spacers (expansion gap)
• Saw / laminate cutter (clean cuts)
• Measuring tools (straight layout)

6) Finish Trim and Transitions

We add:

• Baseboard or quarter round (if needed)
• Doorway transitions
• Stair nosing (for stairs)

Then we clean up and walk the job with you.
